Empowering, Inclusive, Supportive
I am a Connecticut state licensed Speech and Language Pathologist who has experience working with clients across the lifespan. I work with pediatric and adult populations with language disorders, articulation/phonological disorders, pragmatic disorders, intellectual disabilities, acquired cognitive disorders, voice disorders, fluency disorders, literacy skill development, sensory feeding difficulties, auditory processing disorders, and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). I am a Natural Language Acquisition (NLA) trained clinician working with autistic individuals who communicate using delayed echolalia.
I ensure evidence-based practice when treating all of my clients. I individualize therapy goals and techniques to address the unique needs of the children and adults I work with. I provide speech therapy with a play-based approach by providing fun and motivating activities which keep children engaged and eager to learn. I value collaborating with families by providing speech and language strategies that can be carried over during day-to-day activities. I am passionate about fostering speech and language development so that children are better able to communicate and socialize with their parents, siblings, and peers.
I support each person's unique neurological profile by focusing on their strengths and interests. My approach values diverse cognitive and sensory experiences, creating a supportive environment where clients can thrive and address communication challenges positively.
I founded a non-profit, The Berkshire Project, an inclusive arts and music based summer camp that strives to develop connections for people with and without disabilities that will last for years to come.
